Alex Webb, Writer/Director
Alex Webb (Writer/Director/Actor) was a recipient of the Panavision New Filmmaker Award. His first film, Hove (The Wind) with Oscar-winner Olympia Dukakis, was an official selection at the Montreal, Palm Springs, Los Angeles, Boston, Palm Beach and Cleveland International Film Festivals. His award-winning play, AMELIA, published by Samuel French, is set during the American Civil War and is being developed for the big screen. His short film "The Girl in 2C" received a Silver Medal at WorldFest - The Houston Int'l Film Festival. His script, "Welcome to L.A.", was awarded Honorable Mention in the Cinequest screenplay competition. As an actor, he has had the honor of working with Oscar winners Meryl Streep, Ben Affleck, Olympia Dukakis, Eli Wallach and Melissa Leo among others. TV/Film credits include Boardwalk Empire, House of Cards, Daredevil, Oz and Boiler Room. To The Flame was nominated for Best Picture at the Madrid International Film Festival. It also won Best Screenplay and Best Ensemble Honorable Mention at the Queens World Film Festival, as well as a nomination for Best Actor for Mr. Webb.
